Avocado
Research is finding that the avocado is most definitely one of nature’s super fruits.
These protein-rich powerhouses contain good fat, energy, minerals and vitamins that are vital
for peak body performance. Their high monounsaturated or ‘good fat’ content also means they
don’t increase cholesterol levels and might in fact even lower cholesterol – no wonder they
carry the prestigious Heart Mark. The monounsaturated fats found in avocados might also improve
the glycemic profile of diabetics and avocados can be included in an effective weight loss diet.
Serving Size
¼ of a medium avocado (50g) provides 1 serve of fruit.
